Hi guys,
Im fairly new to the ebay selling side of things and have been researching dropshipping.
What do you think, is anyone doing it and making money from it or will I be wasting my time?
Any feedback would be much appriciated

Well to be honest Im still researching what would make the most money. Obviously it would mean I would need to list more items to make more profit but wouldnt need to worry about the P&P.
From the research ive done it seems like a good idea, you have just got to find that perfect supplier first.
I just wanted to see if anyone had any experience in this and whether they were making a good profit so I know my research isnt in vain

suspect you are just up against a load of other ebayers with the same dropshipper itemsEx forum ambassador

Unless you have a special relationship with your wholesaler and they can guarantee you same day despatch and guaranteed stock then I would say forget it.
There are too many problems that you as the seller will get hit with, tardy despatch..you get a neutral and poor stars, item out of stock? A neg and low stars, faulty goods...ditto.
However if you can source a real wholesaler, and forget anyone online as everyone else will have tried them already, then talk to them about how you cna work withthem. Don't firget as well when calculating profits to take into account listing fees for unsold goods, losses for faulty or lost goods, tax and national insurance.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I think it's risky...in the time when the buyer holds all the cards on eBay, I don't think you'd last long. You'd have no means of controlling quality or shipping time...and no leg to stand on if a customer complained about either of these things as they'd be out of your hands. Can't you just look to import, store and sell on something yourself?Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0

You need a lot of money and a lot of knowledge (both of product and who you are dealing with) to do well with dropshipping. There are more people who have lost out on it than those who are doing well at it!.0 -

I think you will find there are many ebayers selling the same product, probably from the same dropshipper. this would mean profits are low and rely on higher turnover.....not easy to achieve if you take into account the listing fees.
high volume sellers get discount codes from their dropshippers and ebay which could worsen the situation for you.
Enquire from your your potential dropshipper on their client base, you will find they have thousands and all are selling you know where....
Amazon is also a great place to start, the bonus here is no listing fees...competition is also tough though0
