Mcafee 2009 Opinions?

Anyone used this? I got a lisence of my father for Total Security, he had 3 lisences, At first installing was slow and it did slow all down while updating and scanning etc, but now 3 days after installing it there is no slow down, I am impressed with it to be honest and I always used to knock it.

    No
Its because theyve blagged companies like DELL to give trials away on their computers so the ONLY way theyve survived is by people who know no better go and renew the license

NO! No, I did not rate Norton, but seems you think I did! :D

I use Norton AV 2008 and have done for about two years (bought a three PV licence for about £16.00) and to be honest it has been very good and had no problems running it on all three PC's. Caught no viruses and has run nicely, updated and as such I am happy with it....

Now, however I will not be buying an update to the 2009 version as I got offered this via a Synmantec download for free, I did just that, but it was soooooo slow, used a lot of teh PC resources and also caused my system (quad core dawgs bollix machine) to really struggle.... Hence, I am not a lover of the 2009 version....

It seems you have taken it onboard to think I rated it... Merely I just said I used it... :p:D

Now, Mcflee... I have attempted and added Mcflee to four pc's over about a persiod of three yeas and each pc I have added it too I have had problems, then two of those caught colds, did not pick-up the virus and the other one stopped updating for some reason. On the three that I installed it on, I had to remove or I removed Mcflee and it was a nightmare removing all the content, but the fourth runs it fine, but again I have no truct in Mcflee released products now...

RIGHT - This is MY OWN personsonal opinion ok, otehrs may like it, love it, or hate it, but thats mine and looking through a lot of other forums and reports I am pretty much of the same opnion as many. :j

Now, in 60+ days my NAV2008 will expire, I will NOT renew and will be looking for another AV programme which you will obviously be happy to learn as I will not be adding NAV2009 to my two systems follwed by the laptop later.

Hope that explains my reasoning about NAV, Mcflee and to you also. ;):D
