Late payment now charging interest on 0% deal?

Virgin keep changing the payment date on my card. As I've got a direct debit with them this month has come out late and now they have charged me £12 for being late but more importantly they have charged me interest when I’m on a 0% interest for 16 month deal. Can they do this? Hope this makes sense!

That makes no sense. If you pay by direct debit, they take it when it's due. The date is variable, and will be advised on each statement.
If you have set up a standing order, then this could indeed come out late, but it would be your fault for setting the wrong date.
If you have missed your payment, then the 0% deal will end and they will indeed charge you interest.0 -
If I were you, I'd phone Virgin Card Services on 01244 673700 (to avoid the dreaded 0870 numbers) and explain your oversight. If this is your first late payment, the charge may be waived and more importantly the interest.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
