I have a suggestion. We need an 'I AM BEING IRONIC' indicator on some of these posts which would help the hard of thinking.

No. I like it when someone takes my sarcastic posts seriously.
  • The cheaper ranges are the most popular and stock does sell out very quickly (as did the Sony Bravia TV's on Boxing day).

If you have chosen the cheapest product in a range and that has sold out, then the only other possible alternative is one that is more expensive!
  • if its sold out then maybe they just sold them all! -theres a surprise!

Jeez argos are a retailer like tesco, morrisons, sainsburys, waitrose, things do have a tendency to go out of stock, when its out of stock it tends to mean that the product was popular

I think it's shocking that a shop might sometimes sell things and not have them in stock. I mean, what's a shopper supposed to do? It's not like we can go and shop somewhere else is it?

If it's occasionally, then that's not a problem. If it's all the time, and on a wide variety of products, that's a different matter.
