Erm maybe you could use the stock checkers by the browsers to check which items are available before you queue up...or check online at home since you clearly have access to the internet! Then you could reserve the item you want...:A0

i dont get the point of your post at all0

Perhaps the low price makes these items very popular which is why you have trouble finding stock.0

I think it's shocking that a shop might sometimes sell things and not have them in stock. I mean, what's a shopper supposed to do? It's not like we can go and shop somewhere else is it?0

In the OP's case, they did go and shop somewhere else."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0 -

I think you misunderstood the post!0 -
I don't understand the question. Argos doesn't have the item that the OP wanted to buy, possibly because the item in question was a popular item, and the price made it attractive to other customers, and so they had sold out. Therefore the OP had to go to another shop to buy said item?
Hardly a vent by any standards. By that logic I could start one every week on here about a shop that didn't have something in my size that I wanted to buy, or the local bakers running out of sausage rolls..."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Although I can (in part) appreciate the OP's frustration at offers not being available, I can't see how this can be described as a RIP-OFF.
Most stores put stuff on offer, no surprise then when that stock is snapped up.
In my view, the Argos 'reserve for store-pickup' works pretty good.0 -
It does, I have an item reserved for tomorrow which I didn't see in the catalogue (maybe the last of last season's stock) which I desperately need and it's cheaper than the one I was going to get!"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

I have a suggestion. We need an 'I AM BEING IRONIC' indicator on some of these posts which would help the hard of thinking."It is far better I say nothing and let people think I am an idiot than to open my mouth and confirm it beyond any doubt."0
