Please excuse me if I have posted this in the wrong place.
I have had sky plus since August 2007 along with a multiroom subscription as well. So monthly we are paying £57.00. Anyway ever since we have had it installed we have had more problems than enough - channels freezing, playback not working, recording not working and box having to be replaced twice.
This all came to a head last September when I rng to coplain about the amount of problems we were constantly having. In fact since August 2007 we have had over 3 months of time where we hgavent been able to watch anything but the free channels. So after detailing my grievances and telling them how much it was costing me on my BT phone bill to ring them so much they offered me (by menas of compensation) a reduction on my bill for 3 months. For those 3 months I only had to pay £30 a month which I thought was fair enough, it would reimburse me somewhat for my phone bill iyswim.
Anyway the first month I paid £30 as agreed, but the next month they increased it to £47 and the final month to the normal £57. So having rang to ocmplain again nothing was being done so I gave it one last go yesterday and spoke to a manager (well thats what they told me I suppose it could have been anyon really lol) who offered to credit £48 to my account immediately. I took this offer as it meant I wouldnt have to pay the remaiinign £29.66 of a bill for this month (its January, a v. tight month so ahd to split the bill). So everything was ok until I went to play a film recorded for my children today and playback wouldnt work.
Phoned Sky and Lo and behold no record of the £48 is even on my account and they have cut me off for non payment of my bill.
So im now waiting on a manager ringing me back as I threatened to go to ofcom, trading standards etc as I am sick to the back teeth of this hassle for shows repeated for weeks on end really.
What else can I do to make them keep to their agreement and would it be worthwhile to email ofcom or suchlike?
Sorry its so long too guys, thankyou in advance. x

Usually, if they say they are going to credit your account immediatley it means that they credit it at that time but it will not show until your next billmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
record all calls to them. you will need to tell them that you are recording though as sky give their adviser the option to refuse the call if its being recorded.Debt free 3 years early :j
Savings for house deposit - very healthy
Cash back earnt so far £14.570 -
