lloyds took money out

hi this morning i checked my lloydstsb current account, and found that lloydstsb credit card company have taken £242 out of my joint account leaving me with nothing in the bank,
i wrote to them last oct08 requesting my cca
in dec 08 i received a copy of a new agreement which was not signed with the new late fees charges on £12 my old statements were charged at £20 before 2006


i wrote to them again in dec2008 with a letter putting the account in dispute till i receive a signed copy of my agreement,

while my account is in dispute are they allowed to take money from our joint account,
also my wife has a seprate account in the same bank will they be able to take money out of her account ,the credit card is in my name
any advice please

    Yes they can, it's called off setting and will be in the T&C's. That's why it's not a good idea to have everything with 1 provider
    also my wife has a seprate account in the same bank will they be able to take money out of her account ,the credit card is in my name

    I bank with Lloyds and they did this to me. I did, however, find the credit card people helpful and easy to deal with when I spoke to them to sort it out
    Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!
