Loteria Navidad

Hi

not sure if i am posting this in the correct section.

my mom recieved a letter all the way from spain this morning related to the Loteria Navidad and that she had a winning number, with a claims application form which asks for her personal details and her bank details and next of kin details in order to claim her winnings. i have never seen anything like this before. i mean we are use to bogus emails saying how much you've won etc but nothing of this sort.

it indicates that Loteria Navidad was held in Madrid Spain on 19th Dec 2008.

to begin the lottery process and claims to contact
Don Alfredo Sanchez, the foreign operations manager of euro security and financial SA.

this is a very pecular piece of mail, of a kind never received before and my mom has never purchased such a lottery ticket or asked anyone or any agent to do so on her behalf.

is it genuine? should it be pursued

thank you

If she bought a ticket go to the Loteria Navidad site and check the ticket number if its a winner come back with her name and address so I can send a begging letter

If she didn't buy a ticket what do you think ?

It's a huge scam that some folk are daft enough to fall for, including people who've never been to Spain before.......

Please get your mother to throw away the letter and not to reply.

Yes that was my point if she didn't buy a ticket why would you assume she had won?
