someone posted about strange payments coming from their account after the boots sale (that never happened) after having 3 orders cancelled on me even though one was full price on friday just rung my bank to see where my money had gone (i knew i hadn't spent that much) and they said £1 went to some labour union membership then 2 days later they took nearly £60! I am so not happy this is the second time my card has been misused in 6 months!
I've just noticed on my bank account a £1 payment has gone to someone I have never heard of?? Phoned bank and they can't help until the 'payment enquiry team' are there (between 8am-8pm) so will have to wait till tomorrow to find out more.
I have just transferred all the money I have (not much lol) from my account to my savings account just incase someone tries to nab it overnight .
I paid for my boots stuff by paypal though, although previously I have paid by bank card and I think the website remebers your details.now has her .com delivery but doesnt know where to put it0 -

Our security guard used to do that to me for a while, which must have been pretty boring for him as I'm a ditherer, but also a 100% squeeky clean ditherer. It's got to the point now we nod to one another as I go in, and after that he ignores me.Val.0 -
Does anyone want a voucher for 300 points WYB Max Factor Foundation? (from the Black Sparkly GWP)
I've just opened mine from before Xmas & there are 2 vouchers inside, but I'm not impressed by MF foundations, so I won't be using them.
First two people to PM me can have them, I'll post them out tomorrow (they are valid till 31/1/09 so still over a week to go!)
Suzi xx
OOOOH, My 100th post!!Everything I wanna do is either illegal, immoral or fattening! lol :rotfl:0 -
Hi Guys, Hope this is useful... The other day off dot com I ordered no 7 mineral perfection blusher, got the black makeup purse free(includes a compact mirror, & a really soft retractable blusher brush.... (not bad, if you want to add it to a hamper etc.......
In the same order I got the L'oreal collagen skin remodeller day cream, (spf 15) with a fabulous gift..... lovely black & gold box, that folds out , with makeup in the top layer, & l'oreal skin products on the bottom layer.
Soz, can't remember the exact price......, under £20 with delivery! but the l'oreal gwp is fab....IMHO,
I am trying my hardest to be a professional bootser..., but been following this thread for at least 4 months, & I only seem good at the on line deals!
So hope this helps geeky peeps like me!
Thank you all tho, for your fab info xx

This is really bad as it means the security on the Boots site is pants. I would definately give CS a call and complain especially those peopple who haven't used their cards anywhere else. I am going to remove my card details from the site now and suggest everyone else does the same. It's shocking that Boots don't have a 100% secure site.:mad:0 -
Thank you
I won't get such a bargain as I have no Blinkiesbut still intend on getting some brushes- maybe try my 250 points voucher on one of them (prob wont work knowing my luck :rotfl:)
Thank you all for your comments and advice- you are always my first port of call when I need help! :j
What a lovely bunch you all are!!! :T
Right, you need to grasp the concept of getting the max for your money here....
Say you want two brushes that cost £6 each. Now you can just go and spend £12 and get three on 3-4-2, but you still laid out £12.
Or you can buy one brush for £6, get a blinkie and buy the second brush for £1 plus blinkie. Two brushes for £7.
Or you can spend £5 on things you need and use, like soap, toothpaste, tampax etc. Get blinkie. Buy one brush, spend £1 plus your original £5. Or buy three brushes on 3-4-2, use blinkie, spend £7, get another blinkie. Spend it on something else from the reduced No7 range. This last means you still spent £12 but you got three brushes, £5 of neccessities and a small No7 treat....
And remember, the more seperate purchases you make the more points opprtunities you get. For instance in this last example you could buy a couple of Pantene or HE hair products, use at least one if not two No7 250 points vouchers......thus getting perhaps 700 points on your £12 spend.
See???????
That's the fun of this Bootsing game.Val.0 -

So I think the 90% sale will go ahead - for those of you who would like some wrapping paper, doggy bookends, empty floral cosmetic bags, or mugs with a cat.
Home via the DLR, Jubilee, C2C and bus (all free thanks to Boris!) and a good day was had by us!!!
Good to hear your DS is now on the mend...we all missed your posts...nice to see you are back
...and still having fun bargain hunting.:)0 -

The L'oreal gift id the paris GWP that many of us have managed to find in store that is scanning FREE without having to buy anything. I managed to push my luck with 2 of these.
The glam shine lip gloss is fabulous. It smells gorgeous and i cant stop applying it mainly cos it smells so nice i keep licking it off.
It is very sticky though but i love that in a lip gloss and it stays put for ages.
I dont know how much this lip gloss is in boots but i noticed it was 15 euros in the airport duty free today which meant £15 at the current exchange rate - So yes an absolute bargain.
But keep it up and you'll soon be a prefessional instore shopper, as i started like you, only grabbing the online glitches but i have now branched out.:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!:T0 -
