I can't imagine how these Zyliss ones would be any good for anyone, especially those with problems with their hands. I think they are too slow to be practical - I mean sooooooooooooooooo slow. It would take you an hour to peel a few carrots. Awful.Jane_Blackford wrote: »snipped
I would imagine electric peelers are really only any use for people who have problems with their hands.0 -

However, just wanted to warn people not to waste their money on this: Zyliss MultiPeeler, Electronic Peeler, Blue £3.94 from £15. It's hopeless - really slow for easy things like carrots and doesn't peel thick things like turnip/swede. I bought it despite the bad reviews I read on Amazon so only me to blame
.
Totally agree - do not bother buying the electric peeler. The only saving grace is that it came complete with four batteries.....so the outlay wasn't a total waste0 -

Thanks this is just the ticket, Im leaving home mid febuary i was worried about grabbing the essentials like this as they are so expensive locally.0 -
If you want the cutters A-Z and numbers Tesco sell them for £1.50 to £2 these are stainless steel in a stainless steel case.
This is cheaper than the Nigella ones.Seth.0 -
The little notebook/pencil sets down from £24:eek: to £6
are a great little bargain. I bought them just before Christmas at this price and added to a mug/chocolate, made a great gift for teachers etc. The price went back up again in the meantime but now back to £6. For avid listmakers everywhere

Thank you both. Have ordered some to put away. Thought they might slip in with homemade birthday cards to friends and family that I don't send presents to.
My 11 year old has distinctly different ideas to me when it comes to pressies for teachers and he's the most stubborn of the 2 of us so these would be a no-no no matter what I think. Not cool! :cool:0 -
Great idea about adding them to birthday cards - thanks0
