does this tv need plugging into an external aerial? or does it have an internal one?

I got one of these today and am very disappointed. I got it to replace the old portable in my kitchen. The only space I have to put it is on top of my fridge/freezer, but looking up at this screen the picture is absolutely useless - no good at all.
Be wary if you intend to watch it in any other way than at eye level. For example, would be no good wall mounted in a bedroom if you would then need to look
