Halifax Interest Rates

Can't see this posted in any other threads yet. the Halifax altered some of their fixed interest account rates yesterday (16th). One year fixes are down to 2.65% and three year to 2.6%. You have to leave you money in for 5 years to get 3%. On the other hand their Fixed Rate Isas seem to be offering better rates from 3.7% for one year upto 4.1% for four years. Does anyone else think that there may some competition for our Isa money this April?

From the terms stated, this reflects, no doubt, that rates are not expected to stay uber-low for long - and ISAs are more 'stable' than other balances - thus candidates for four-year term deposits.
