Halifax One Card 0% for 12 Months ??

:j Please help as am confused as to what could be wrong with this deal, the Motley Fool are showing a card with a rate of 0% for twelve months.
But I can't find it mentioned here any where and have been trying for ages
The card is the ' Halifax one card' have I missed a report saying it is not the one to go with as they are totally bad  or should I apply quick before it gets inundated.
Sorry if this has been asked before or is the wrong place to ask, but have just admited I am in dept ( should have seen my wife's face when I let her cut up my credit cards last night ) :p and today am trying to do the searching to decide how to start doing something about it. :o

It's one of the longest BT cards on the market, but it has some drawbacks...
    • 2% (max £50) BT fee.
    • Only 3 months 0% on purchases, so DO NOT MAKE ANY because you'll pay interest on them during months 4-12 of the introductory period (see 'order of payments' in the Halifax T&C's).
    • Halifax are known to be 'responsible' lenders, ie they don't give large credit limits.
  • Hi and thanks, is there a way of knowing your limit when you apply as I want to trnsfer two cards totaling about £11000.
As to using it I will be cutting it up as soon as it arrives.

It's not a new card (4 months?), so that's why you probably haven't seen many recent posts about it, although I'm sure there was one last week.

HBOS has so far giving me my lowest limit @ 1300, where as I've been getting 3-3500k on other cards.
  • I have a HBOS card NSPCC which I am just about to settle in full that has a 9k limit but I am paying interest on that one so need to settle it.,I was then hoping to get the halifax one and bt the other two so I get a year at 0%

This is my current card, and without any special requests I got a £7500 limit. This meant I could move my two exisiting card balances to it.

My last cards were CITI and HSBC, both of whom set quite low limits for me, and both refused to budge. By the time I applied to Halifax I also had taken out an Egg loan for a not inconsiderable amount.

BTW, I reckon I'm now into year 5 of card tarting and still going strong, usually having a maximum of two cards running (dependent upon limits given). Currently also thinking seriously about getting into stoozing, but we'll see how that pans out.
