Barclaycard not given enough credit limit

in Credit cards
Last week DH applied for an Oyster card with Barclayscard so that we can BT our Virgin card (0% deal ends in March). Great, but they have given us a limit which is less than half of what we need (why am I surprised ?).
I thought perhaps that we should also apply to Tesco or Egg for their 0% deals but I am not sure if I should do it in my name (all exisiting debt is in my name ie 2 cards) or DH's (baring in mind he has just opened up with Barclaycard).
I don't think there are any issues with our credit rating as we have never missed payments nor have we applied for any credit (barring Barclaycard last week) in the last year) but not sure who should apply ????

I now earn half of what my DH earns which is not a modest figure by any means.
DH applying for a second CC within a week .... is this a big NO NO ?0 -
Card issuers are often being more cautious than they were previously, and are offering lower initial credit limits, and reducing existing credit limits. They have obviously offered a credit limit that they feel is fair based on your credit file and personal details supplied.0
