He could get a moped or 50cc motorbike!! That should be cheap to insure and run. Would also get a good appreciation of the ways of the road. Then he can progress to a car as a bit older his insurance should cost less than it would now. Will get !!!! wet through on days like this mind you lol0

My son had a small Seat and his first year insurance with Direct Line was about £1200 Third party. Came down quite a bit in 2nd year to about £750 and was only another £30 for Fully comp, so he did that. What is quite good is when he went to uni we kept the car in the garage and he paid about £4 a month fire and theft only and still got his no claims bonus each year. He then upgraded his insurance to use his car in the holidays.0

Pass Plus can with some insurance companies reduce the premium by up to 30%, not all companies will give a discount so it pays to ask what discount if any a company will give.
ADI's that do Pass Plus courses should have a list of participating companies.0
