Final bill 14 months later??!!!

I switched from Good Energy to Scottish Power in December 2004. Last week I received a final bill from Good Energy for £68. I know its not a lot, but is there a limit to how long they can wait before sending the bill out? This seems ridiculous. We always paid by DD so I wasn't looking out for the bill, and I don't know now if the reading they are using is right.

Any advice?

I think it's 6 years! As for the reading unless you checked this yourself it may well be an estimate. Have a look on your first SP bill.
