My son is currently in his 2nd year at college studying a BTEC National Diploma in performing arts. This September he is hoping to do his Foundation Degree in performing arts which will be 2 years full time, and I am wondering what financial help he may be able to claim. He is currently receiving EMA payments. He will turn 18 years in June.

A Foundation Degree counts as HE so he will be eligible to apply for all normal university funding such as Student Loans, grants and bursaries. You can find information on www.direct.gov.uk or post again for further information. Because this is a higher level of study your CB and CTC will stop.0 -
