  • Mortgage £720, council tax £110, other bills £500...effectively, to run our house, we each put £600 into a joint account each month. That includes food, gas, electricity, insurance etc...

    I also have a car £150, car insurance £50 and phone £20.

I really recommend selling stuff you don't use. Take a look around your house and you'll see stuff you never use.

We had a Wii with lots of games and Wii Fit, we hadn't used it in months, so we sold it just before Christmas and made a nice sum :D

I also sell clothes I've never or hardly worn, jeans always go well.
  • how does your OH put £600 per month in if he's on JSA? Or was that prior to him loosing his job and now you have adjusted?

    (just curious!)
  • Yes that was prior to him losing his job! lol!
