Travelling to US

I am due to travel to the US next month.
Can I just double check that all I need to do is fill in the ESTA online form?

I just don't want to get turned away at the border because I forgot to fill in a form.

Cheers

Assuming you aren't entering from Mexico or Canada then you have to fill in the ESTA complete with your flight and accommodation details. You'll also have to fill in an I-94W as you arrive as they are running the old & new systems in parallel

As far as I know, they were only running the new and old systems in parallel up to the 12th, filling in the ESTA and printing out the results should do the job now.

@themoffster - the rules are still similar to what they were pre-ESTA. You fill it in, you get the authorisation, but the immigrations officer at the port of entry has final say over you being let into the country or not.

Click on the link above and it will take you to the official ESTA site. Follow the step by step instructions. Very easy. Takes about 5 minutes max and free of charge.

Well no they weren't running the systems in parallel - you could voluntarily fill in the online data, but still had to fill in the form.

Now you MUST do it online, but it appears you still need to fill in the form as well at least at some entry ports/with some airlines.

There was someone on Breakfast News about this on monday and he said they are running the old and new systems parallel for about 4 months before the old forms are phased out completely.
