Barclaycard Dispute - help needed!!!!

Hi. I bought an item from a company via my credit card over the phone. The item sent was not as described by the company, and did not arrive with the paperwork to validate its authenticity. I contacted the company and despite numerous requests, over a period of 14 days i still have not received the documentation requested. I informed the company that i would be returning the item to them for a refund and that i had opened a dispute with Barclaycard. This was acknowledged by the sales manager that i spoke to, who said that he would contact me to confirm the item had been returned. 24 hours later I received an email from another manager stating they would reject this item and it would be returned. Barclaycard have told me a dispute could take between 4-6 weeks to resolve. Has anyone else been in this situation? What was the outcome? Any help would be greatly appreciated!:confused:
