Cash and Carry

Options
Hello,

Couldn't work out the best forum to post this question in!

Anyway, I've always wanted to go to a cash and carry but not having my own business I haven't been able to.

Well, a friend has given me the opportunity to do so by lending me her card.

So, I was wondering what sort of savings I can look forward to?

Does anyone on here use Cash and Carries? Are they worth the hassle?

Thanks,

Duncan

    Hello duncan32

I've only shopped in Makro but have found some bargains there. Remember that VAT will be added to the price(s) when you get to the check out.;)

i have started going to cost co. I dont have a business either so buying in bulk isnt always good unless you have a big family, its good for washing powder, soap, toothpaste and things like that i buy the food and split it with my mum halfing the price, sometimes by the time you add the vat it isnt any cheaper. Also you have to pay for a membership i think about £30!!
  • I used to shop in Makro quite a lot as it was handy for me but since we got a Tesco Extra store 24/7 I hardly ever shop in Makro as they are seldom competative regarding electrical goods, even on Makro Mail.

I shopped there this week for something I did spot in the Makro Mail and had forgotten just how bad the service was, not the people they are lovely but the whole set up is terrible, no-one can find anything and the queues are the pits.

But I believe Costco are much better especially if you don't have to pay the annual fee.
