Does Natwest do retentions?

Hi, was wondering if Natwest will do retentions on their credit cards?

I got their Credit Card 2 months ago when asked by the counter staff if I'm interested since I'm eligible for one. I accepted then, as I thought they have a 0% purchase rate. (At the time of application I have a 2-yr old Natwest Student Credit Card with them which I have used regularly and paid back in full everytime. I subsequently cancelled it after receiving this new credit card)

But it's only after application I do realize it's actually 4.9%, which is really no point for me.

Thinking that there probably isn't much reasons for me to hold this Natwest Credit Card anymore, I'm thinking of cancelling it, to make way for future credit.

Of course if they can offer me a 0% deal, I'm very likely to continue with it. Do you think they will usually do that?

Thanks!

After 2 months of use? I doubt it

Why not pick up the phone and ask them?

Like the previous poster said, you've had the card two months. You're not really in much of a position to barter rates. That said, call them you never know. I'd be very surprised if they do come back with something.
