Orange Care Mobile Insurance Grrrrrrr!!!

Hi, ive been an orange customer for about 19 months now, ive had orange care since then, ive claimed once on my policy in that time. I've just had an upgrade around a week ago, and stupid me was doing summit to my car, put it by the windscreen wipers(on the big plastic bit), it must have slipped down, when i shut the bonnet, i crushed it breaking the screen!!
I thought fine, call orange, I'm insured, however after 3 very lengthy phone calls to them, they are point blank refusing to replace or repair the phone bacause of "lack of care", now I'm sorry but I took the insurance out to cover me from accindental damage, surely this is accidental damage, i did not purposely put it there for it to be crushed, ive only had the thing for a week!!
Anyone got any ideas? Waiting for a call back from HSBC, which is my last chance apparantly (they must be the underwriters), surely they have to replace it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Julian.

It depends whether they see placing the phone on the bit by the windscreen wipers as lack of care.
They may need a further explanantion from you as why it was placed there rather than somewhere safer.Baby Ice arrived 17th April 2011. Tired.com! :j0
