Just an observation:
I've totalled up your outgoings(£300 + £30 + £10 + £265 + £21, and it doesn't come to £678 but they come to £626. This figure bizarrely enough is exactly £52.60 below your income (all but a pound!).
What I reckon therefore has happened is that they got your disposable income noted as £52.60, and quite literally have put it in the wrong box on their form.
With that figure, you should of course pay zero. Go back to them armed with the above and tell them that it appears they have made an admin error.
Well done super-sleuth

this must be a mistake. If your surplus is less than £100 they should not seek an IPA. Find out who your assistant official receiver is and write a letter asking them to explain how they did calculation for IPA, that you do not consent as you have insufficent money left over each month to pay IPA. Frankly this is ridiculous expecting someone with income of £680pcm to pay anything.0

Hi peachy, peachyprice wrote: »Hi qsip, you need to contact them and ask for a breakdown of exactly how they have found a surplus of £105.20, they must have cut soemthing back to get that figure, but as you've so little it's highly unfair, and there are alot of things you can and to your I&E to get your surplus below £99.
But don't panic, remember, this in an IPAgreement, if you do not think it is correct you have the right to challenge them, and if they insist they are right you can go to court and they will have to prove that they are being reasonable, which quite clearly they are not. I honestly don't think it would come to that though, they only have 6 weeks left to get an IPA in place, so string things out as much as you possibly can. I really can't see them wanting to stand up in court trying to prove this is fair.
I used the calculator link and do you know i worked out why they claimed the extra....... i was claiming £265 household and your only allowed £187 thats just £6.16 pence per day to feed yourself!!!!! which is disgusting i have a goodmind to go to court just to challange that.
I have written to them today and requested a break down do you have any idea if i can claim anything else?0 -
i found the reason i claimed £262 houshold and as a single male im only allowed £187 thats £6.16 per day to feed myself this just takes me over the £100 pound limit infact its £104 in the calculator whic is rediculous in this climate...........£6.00 will just about buy a large pack of toilet rolls...........so at leat i know what ive done so i will claim fo my glasses and more on clothes any anything else you can think of cheersAddicted2Chocolate wrote: »this must be a mistake. Hi try telling them you have spoken to cab or similar;) and that you have been told, you have not claimed for a lot of things that you never realised you COULD claim for, so can they please send you another form to fill in.
Then come here and we will sort it:D .Dx
Ps if they were half way decent they would have told you,you had not claimed for many things.DxFree impartial debt advice available from: National Debtline - Tel: 0808 808 4000 | The Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) - Tel: 0800 138 1111 | Find your local Citizens Advice Bureau

Hi qsip,
Definitley do as Dalip suggested, ask them to send another form. They only have 5 more weeks to get this in place, if you haven't reached an agreement before your automatic dischatge, then tough, they can't put an IPA in place. Your housekeeping has been acceptable for the lat 10 1/2 months, why should you reduce it now.
Also, the figures of £187 is a guideline only and not set in stone, not to mention the fact that it's a year or so out of date.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
