I would ask, why if its so good, do they not even give you an idea what the job involves ?

I would guess that they's send you a pack with just enough information to get your attention and then ask for money to reveal some worthless proposition or scam.

I would suspect that the contact details also get sold on to another company.
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.
  • I think the fact that you can't make up your mind if it's any good or not means that you have significant reservations about it.Go with your gut reaction - if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck it's definitely a duck!

if its so good then why do they have to advertise it in a car park and not a job centre!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Money's too tight to mention!!!
  • I always think that if the job was good and the money great - then why aren't the people putting the leaflets out doing it instead...

    i come across this ad : http://www.topstarmailshare.co.uk/home-workers.html

i want to earn extra money at home at weekends and thought this would be great - but they ask for £30 to receive the goods to get working? is this a scam? has anyone ever done this? i think maybe they ask for money to know that you are not a time waster like they say?

any help on this would be great!
    Thank you
    Liz x
  • If they ask for money, it's a scam.

Do you really think large companies doing professional mailshots would outsource the work? They'd use automated process to print the labels, stuff the envelopes and frank them, not rely on handwritten, hand stamped envelopes.

They are - the job consists of putting out the leaflets then scamming those who respond.

    IT IS A SCAM!

Just read the 'testimonials' on their website:

    http://www.topstarmailshare.co.uk/testimonials.html

Eight testimonials that all begin with the same words? I think not!

They also claim that they are in UNIT 8 of a warehouse!

Actually, they are in flat number 8!
