I cancelled my switch to B.Gas, but B.Gas have'nt!!!
Options
Back in November/December, I used energy-helpline to switch suppliers (currently with Scottish power), and decided on Southern electric for my gas, and British Gas for my electric.
When the paper work from British Gas came through, it was for the discounted scheme where they say they may charge you £20 if you leave before 2007 (or whetever it was)
As I didn't want to be tied in, (I remember a couple of people on here pointed out this tie-in), I rang and cancelled the switch well within the seven days quoted in the paperwork.
This week I received a letter from Scottish power advising how much I owe them, after speaking to them they have advised that the switch went through, even though I cancelled it with British Gas.
Has anyone else had this problem of cancellations not being done, the lady on the phone at BG said she had no record of me phoning to cancel.
What would you advise?
Cheers
