High interest deposit bonds?

Hi!
I have £10k in savings which I would like to invest. However, I want my savings to be absolutely safe and obviously, give me interest which will be worth it. I am willing to lock it away for a little while, but probably not 1 year. 6-9 months would be idea for me.
I am aware that I can put my money into a high interest deposit bond for that period of time. Is it the best solution? And if so, which institution offers the best interest rate?
