Can I find out what accounts i have?

Hello all,
This might seem like a very stupid situation to be in but i am not sure if i have some money in an account i have forgotten about.
I have moved house 4 times in the past 8 years so statements might not get to me. I know I had money then I had trouble with the department of work and pensions and had to pay them back money loads of money and i dunno if it all went there or not?
Is there a way of finding out what accounts i have in my name? Or at the old addresses?
I did go through a very dark depressed stage and I cannot remember a lot of things and i may have blocked out something.?
Thanks for looking. I would hate to lose money because of not knowing i had it?!
