should I claim?

I'm on a DMP amount is £9713 & my credit report is more than this.

Could claiming just bring my credit report balance inline with my DMP or even lower it? Is it worth just finding out how much I could get? It would prob reduce my end date.

With the DMP I am told that at the end of it all they will contact my creditors and ask about interest but that is only while on the DMP which was started March 2006 so I have 3 years before that where they will do nothing about. Should I claim for 6 years?

I already have a claim on the go with Nationwide with the courts and I am thinking of claiming on 2 of my credit cards.

  • I don't understand why your "credit report" is higher than your DMP, this doesn't make any sense to me. The credit report reflects the amounts that your creditors believe you owe them. So they already know the balances and contacting them shouldn't make them "remember" something.

I would expect reclaiming to reduce, not increase, your balance.

because they would have continued to add interest for a while while my DMP doesn't reflect that.

I'm kind of confused! I know they know my balance, I was asking about finding out the charges and I didn't mean an increase I just meant a decrease to by DMP balance or reduce my DMP balance
