Car Insurance for Learners

I hope someone can help, my 17yo son is having driving lessons and I was rather hoping to put him on my insurance to take him out for extra practice, unfortunately the cheapest quote I can get is £3000 per year, which is much, much more than I was expecting as the policy is less than £300 for me on my own. Has anyone out there had any experience of sorting out insurance and who did you use. Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Try collingwood learners insurance
They issue a policy covering the learner only at around £20.00 per week. They are a specialist company and have been trading for about 5 years.0 -
