Help needed please.
I have been infected by this virus on my laptop,which was protected by a free edition of Avast which has since lapsed.
I can't get on the internet,it keeps shutting down.so am unable to download any anti virus software.
Can i get rid of the virus any other way,for example in Safe mode?

download malwarebytes and spybot on another PC , this thread has all the info

and install them on the infected PC in normal mode
try running Malwarebytes in quick scan mode before it shuts down , otherwise run spybot in safemadeEx forum ambassador
