Snags - this guy does not sound good. I'm sure I recall something about keeping you and him a secret because of the ex's kids? That is a load of crap, sorry if I sound harsh, but it's just not right. If he really liked you, he'd be sooo proud to be with you, and would be shouting it from the rooftops. Ok, maybe that's a bit much, but you know what I mean.
Sounds like he wants to have his cake, and eat it. This business of being 'friends', well I believe you can just be friends, so long as that is what you *both* want. I get the feeling you still want to have a relationships with him, and are clutching at straws. If he just wants to keep you a secret for as long as it suits him, with a bit of casual sex thrown in, then that's not good. He is messing you about, please don't stand for it, you are worth more than that.

I know-she seems to get them whenever she gets a cold now.
Last time she needed antibiotics but the time before it went away on it's on accord. I will just have to wait and see how she feels I guess.

Funnily enough both of my DD's used to be the same after a cold, it seems to be very common and they tend to grow out of it. Could be worth an appt with GP and perhaps a referral to Ear, nose and throat peeps, they are great at sorting things like this out.
I am a lot better now thanks, feeling energy creeping back. This virus really laid me low for a couple of months really so feels good to finally get over it. Just thought I would check in and let you know I got through my run (5k in 36 mins) without collapsing although I was getting a bit worked up about it after what the cd woman said, so I had a plain digestive biscuit before I went..
Luc and Toto - I think you are both very brave talking about those issues on here, my grandad died not long ago and I hadn't seen him for 20 years but I was worried about him dying because I knew that I would mean that I would have to go to his funeral and I didn't want to go cos my dad would have been there and I have had issues with him and have no inclination to ever see him again.....Luckily (!) grandad died while I was on holiday and he was dead and buried before I got back...
And Bunny my mother was very much like yours....hard work, crazy and would probably get locked up for doing some of the things she did when I was young. She admits I brought myself up and she thinks I did quite a good job.....:rotfl: she tries to make up for it now but as IA says - it made me what I am today......
