Dead drill

Options
I have two cordless drills" Detor Power make" 14.4volts. The charger has stopped working.I know the fault is in the plug that you plug into the electric socket not the battery holder. Does anybody know if it can be repaired or where i might get similar .I have tried to contact the distributors without success. Thanks in advance.

Maybe a silly thought ... and you've probably checked this already anyway ... but have you looked to see if there's a fuse in the plug which might have blown? Easily changed.

Thanks RoCas but the plug is a sealed unit.

Could you cut the plug off and fit a new one.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

The plug is also the charging unit.

Difficult one. I assume non-replaceable thermal fuse has gone in transformer - not repairable.

Does the charger plug into a charging base (or the drill itself)? If it does, you may be able to get some sort of replacement, but hard to get one of high enough voltage. How fast does the old one claim to charge the batteries? If a fast charger (1 or 2 hours) then things get trickier still as the wrong replacement could fry things easily.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.
