hi,can anyone give me info on this smartstamp.i.e what is it?how it works.where do i get it?.....thanks in advance
https://www.smartstamp.co.uk all the info is there and it is really easy. You download the software (you get 3 months trial now but when I staretd I had to sign up for 12 month minimum) You open the SmartStamp program and it gives you the template for the sheet of labels you want to print, you click on the label and you can choose a postage weight, whether you want recorded or Special Delivery or Parcels. You can do International mail as well. You have to 'load' your account with some money which you can do as a one off payment by card or set up a regular amount, and then the money is there for you to 'buy' your postage. If you make a mistake you send the labels off and they go back onto your account. If you go to smartstamp you can download it and play around with it before you decide to commit yourself. It is the only thing decent the Royal Mail have offered me in the way of service but I am not sure how the programme will change when the postage prices change. Oh, and you get until the day after to send your parcels. And I use the postbox for mine with no trouble at all. However, my local village postmistress made a sarky comment about me not buying postage there and given them the money (yes really!!) so now I go to the next village and they are more than happy to accept my mail and the custom I bring their little shop as well!! However, it is still amusing to stand in the queue with all my parcels and smile at everyone in the queue when they give you dirty looks, LOL!!0 -
