Extended Warranty

My inlaws are determined to buy an extended warrantee for their Toshiba tv. The quote they have received from Toshiba is £89.90 for 12 months or 249.90 for 4 years. My husband volunteered me to see if I could get a cheaper deal online. I am now tearing my hair out in frustration. Does anyone know of a company that does good value warranties. Any help would be great.
Thanks

Hi there
If your inlaws are over 50, Saga used to do an ad-in for their home insurance that covered up to about 11 items in the home. May be worth giving them a callIn the beginning, the universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and was widely regarded as a bad move. The late, great, Douglas Adams.0 -
How much is the television costing and where are they buying from?
Buy from John Lewis for instance and you get an extended warranty for free.
Put the £300 in a savings account and put it towards the next television set. IMO most warranties are poor value.0 -
They bought it online and the manufacturers warranty has now expired. tv just over 12 months old now. It cost £624 pounds originally.0

Thanks for that - I would suggest the same telly today would be substantially cheaper than that.carolyne53 wrote: »They bought it online and the manufacturers warranty has now expired. tv just over 12 months old now. It cost £624 pounds originally.
Do a little research to find out what they are priced at today.
If it has worked perfectly for the first year I would put the money in a savings account pot for when it needs replacing.0 -
you could get a quote from domestic and general (domgen.com) they have a 10% off at the moment.Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.0

if they paid for it using a credit card, they might have some sort of cover, or they may need to register it...carolyne53 wrote: »They bought it online and the manufacturers warranty has now expired. tv just over 12 months old now. It cost £624 pounds originally.0 -
