Out of interest, what are your grounds for appeal?

i feel with an underwriter looking at the application rather then a computer
i might well stand a better chance with sending in bank statements etc.

i have a near perfect rating on experian but i feel that because i'm disabled
& i can't put this within the application they have said NO

they must feel that i'm classed as unemployed hence a low income when really
my income is just over 52k per year

but in saying that halifax turned me down bit strange seeing that i bank with them

So how do MBNA know you are disabled if it wasn't in the application?

No doubt you'll be asking a question elsewhere on the site soon asking for advice in trying to sue MBNA.

They don't have to lend to you, so deal with it.

The OP has stated that they have an income of £52k per annum so I find this unlikely.

If I am misunderstanding the meaning of the above....MBNA will use their own credit scoring method. A near perfect rating on Experian doesn't mean anything on its own.

Spot on, experian rating doesnt mean much. They use their own internal scoring system. Also, the fact that Halifax where she banks declined her as well confirms most lenders are not happy with her profile
