Im so annoyed with AOL. When i first got my PC i used one of their free cd's to log onto the internet FOC for 1 month. I cancelled it within the 7 day cooling period. In fact did this on line with their member help interactive. have kept a copy of the conversation in which it clearly states that it is cancelled and I owe nothing. but on checking my credit card bill they have charged me £15.99. I have emailed them 3 times but have not had a reply. looks like i shall have to give them a call goodness knows how much that will cost me. So Im not a happy bunny at the moment.

Well also what you could do is contact your credit card company and arrange a charge back and tell them that AOL was not allowed to take this money from you!

My mum and dad have had loads of trouble with AOL. My Dad had AOL for the 12mths contract and at the end he wrote/emailed them to cancel his account.
They then closed there bank account with Halifax but had to leave 1p in for some bizare reason, so anyway the other day Halifax gets in touch with my mum and says that the old account is overdrawn by £74.00 as AOL have continued taking money out and with them no longer using that account they had no idea SO were cancelled on that account and moved to the new one.
Also AOL were contacted but no cancellation and still taking money surely they can't do that.
Whos to pay the £74.00 My parent, Halifax of AOL.0 -

Its down to Halifax and AOL. First of all your parents had closed that account. Second your parents had cancelled their AOL account. Third AOL were still taking money when your account was closed so its their own fault - and fourth Halifax were letting htem!Weight Loss - 102lb0
