Dear techie people,
The virus checker led me to delete system32 as it was infected with a virus. I think about the same time, windows media player stopped streaming any video/audio. Does anyone know if system32 would affect wmp and if so how to bring it back? I use 'lovely' vista.
muchas gracias

Please download http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php then install it, run a quick scan and remove everything it finds and post the log it creates back here.
After download hijackthis http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/ install it and press Do a system scan and save a lofgile. It will create a file in notepad post the contents of it back here.0 -
Hey thomas,
Thanks a lot for your post. I did as you suggested and d/l malwarebytes. It said that there was no problem overall and it's reflected in the log result below

I tried downloading hijackthis but it wouldn't install. I tried several times- downloading v 2 and 1.99 , i don't know if it's a vista incompatibility problem or what...:S0
