Iriver H10

Options
I currently have the Creative Zen Micro (6Gb) which has fallen apart after numerous bad experiences with this player I have decided to look for a new one. I want to get a slightly bigger size so I thought of maybe 8 or 10Gb but can onl find the Creative Zen Micro in 8Gb and I can't find to find anything in 10Gb.

The thing that I liked about my zen micro was the screen and its small size, that's most important in any new player that I would purchase. I have been looking at what's available and have decided on the IRIVER H10 I used to have the IRIVER 256Mb which served me well.

According to their website its available in 5/6 and 20Gb which is a tad large for me but 6Gb is to small. I wondered what peoples experiences of the player are?

Its going for around £150 on e-bay does that sound reasonable, also will the colour that I choose have any effect on the price that I pay.

Thanks

  • Hi
I have the Iriver 140, 40gb hd, :j and I would not swop it for anything, excellent sound, build quality, lots of settings, I've bashed and dropped mine and its still playing.
Theres about 40 quid difference between the 6gb and 20gb, but dont forget, you can always use these drives as a backup for all your important stuff, not just for mp3's and forget ebay you'll find a better price here.

There was a thread on Grabbit about a creative zen going for £80, don't know if its still going though.

    Hope this helps

I have I-river10 bought in November I sent it back under warranty at the end of Novemer. " Problems with the volume, it was very quiet." Had a new one sent as relacement yesterday and it is sounding great.
The problem is that you can only put music on it with Windows Media Player Version 10 but you do get it on disk with the player, and also not all computers will recognise the player when you plug it in. Mine will not, I have to go to my sons and use his.
It is no problem to me as I tend to listen to the same music but if you want to change on a regular basis it could be a problem.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

I've had an iRiver H120, H320 and H340. I really like the iRiver brand, even if they are on the slightly expensive side of things. A great site for iRiver info and updates etc is https://www.misticriver.net
  • The IRiver H10 and the Zen Micro are the usual recommended choices around the £150 mark if you don't want to get an Ipod.

As wonderfullife has stated above, I can't see the point of paying £150 on Ebay. That's just the average price for a new H10. You should be able to get it around £10-£15 cheaper if you hunt around on the net.

Less than £150 for a 20Gb one, the cheapest I have found is £156.46 inc VAT and they are sold out doesn't look like they'll be getting anymore in that on on ebuyer
