Hi,
Hope someone can help with what to say to virgin when I ring them?
I upgraded my tv to include sports/movies for xmas and got a bill for £94 odd, I was told if i wanted i could pay some off thus reducing my January bill, I paid £50 on the 29th of December so leaving £44 to be paid today, I checked my bank this morning and they had taken the whole £94, I've just rang them and the lady I spoke to said they can't refund the overpayment they took, I said I need it back thats all I have, she put me through to a manager who conveniently cut me off!!
Does anyone know what I can say when I ring back or how I should deal with this please?
Thank you.
Michelle.
Ps sorry for the rant!

Don't waste your time on the phone. Call centre staff are not allowed to do very much.
If the £94 is a direct debit then contact your bank in writing and ask them to refund a wrongly debit direct debit from your account under the direct debit guarantee giving them full details of the amount, date and company who the direct debit was paid to.
At the same time I suggest you write email to Virgin Media Customer Services stating that you are doing this and why you are doing this.
If they then try and charge you for doing this you can argue (again do it all in writing) that you have a right to do this.I'm not cynical I'm realistic
