WiFi off a laptop

OK, I use WiFi and laptop all the time at home...
But on the road I use a 3G Broadband USB stick with my laptop for surfing the internet.
I also use a Nintendo DS, and at home connect to the Nintendo WiFi connection over my WiFi router.
What I want to know is, when I'm on the road, can I turn my laptop into a WiFi access point? I'd like to connect the Nintendo DS to the internet, using the laptop's WiFi.
Is there a way of doing this?

As a Apple Mac user i know you can share your internet connection via the wireless card and bluetooth connection. I'm sure you could set up an adhoc wireless connection and see if you can that way if its windows.0

OK, I googled this, it seems it will do the job, but costs nearly £30 :-(theres a nintendio usb dongel you can get from game that should work , got one of these but never tried it like your suggesting

But isn't this just doing the same job as the laptop's WiFi adaptor??
I guess it's a last resort, but does anyone know if I can do this without buying the USB dongle?Of course, I may just be talking b****cks!0 -

Apart from the fact you can, mobile broadband is completely unsuitable for gaming online unless something like chess etc.Conor
