fair enough i guess, im not trying to be nasty to the mods/guides - its just as i said its my first month here and after finding out i was losing out on a lot of good prizes i possibly wrote my post, not so much in anger, but possibly not in the best of happy moods and so it seems perhaps it didnt come across so well

i just dont understand why they arent moved in the morning of the day after the date, as i said 860 comps ending today, they'll likely be less than 60 closing before midnight and id rather click on a comp and find the page is no longer there or my entry wasnt counted if i missed the deadline on 60 or so comps than miss out on 800

you say they'll be on the first page of game over - whats the best way to sort that forum to get them closest to the top ?

fnc63 Yes the end of the month competitions can be too overwhelming, so try to enter them over few days if you can. Velvet Glove complied a great comping guide, here:

but in general you can just try to arrange them as you would on the normal competitions board. Then try to use google and type the end date. hope you get those you would like to enter sorted out x

Toni, have you looked on ebay? Sounds mad but they have some gorgeous wedding dresses, all different styles and a bargain too (and you know they've only been worn once!). I sold my beautiful dress on there after we got married last year, was happy to get some money back and I knew it made someone's day to have a bargain dress! Do you like Jenny Packham, I think her dresses are gorgeous but might not be your cup of tea.

Check out debenhams, monsoon and bhs (bargain and lovely!) too.

Or you could even do what some people do and wear a nice bridesmaid dress? Something like dessy?

Most people enter as they r posted so dont use the sort by end date method, so ur issue affects a minority, if that makes sense,if they left them on the board people would bump them with "game over" or "i cant find the page" and the boards would be havoc as u wouldnt be able to comp with the amount of bumping, im sorry i dont comp from game over so not sure how to sort from there, but if u look at the comping guide by velvet glove she has methods int here to find the comps xxx gl

You know Toniq.....at the end of the day it's what you and paul want not anyone else or that you feel because its a weeding it has to be this way or that....John is a very very shy bloke and didn't want to get married in front of loads of people....I had a Beautiful wedding dress from my friend which was just below the knee fitted ...and with a long train...It was gorgeous..Did my own make-up, hair everything...We had family and very closest friends back at the house and I did all the Buffet Food myself.....Didn't have a honeymoon as we had 4 of the kids by then :eek:...But it was the best day of our lives apart from the kids being born...Would never change anything....Our 2 neighbours took us to the register office and they acted as witnesses....We made everyone wait at home and England were playing Tunisia in the World Cup at the time....We had it on in the car coming home from the Register office....:rotfl::rotfl:

now thats what i call a nice lil wedding, no fuss or frills just the pair of u enjoying the day without hassles and mad expense, our oney is constantly tied up in ivf at £5,000 a pop so i think its mad to spend £500 on an outfit itms xxxx

Toniq I know the ivf means so much to you hun....You do what you and paul want....I was lucky enough to have a great friend...The dress what unbelievable and she only worn it about 6 months before...After the wedding she said you can buy it if you want.....£ 300......:eek:....NO TAR
