I'm still around. Popping in and out.
Trying to stop the kids from argueing.
Have sent them off to bed.
Jack and Tony in half an hour, so will be missing for an hour then. (Nothing can pull me away from an hour with Jack and Tony:D)
So a chilled glass of wine is the order for the evening me thinks.

    Anyone else?

It is very quiet isn't it?!

Well OH did the usual mope downstairs apologising for his bad mood. I told him he was being silly and giving up on the DVD after 2 exercises was just childish. He'd got rid of loads of clothes that don't fit him and nearly killed himself on the exercise bike. Basically he said he gives up and will just stay fat.

Then while we were eating tea (incredibly healthy and yummy turkey tacos with salad :)) he said he doesn't know what to do - he either needs to go for it or give up. So I suggested a small target - eg 2lb a week until the holiday. So he's agreed to go for it with healthy eating and exercising, only allowing himself treats after he exercises (he won't give up sweet things completely but I've put all the left over christmas chocolates away), between now and 4th April - the day we go to Florida. He's set himself the target of 7kg which is just about a stone (he works in kg for some reason?) before the holiday. That's do-able I reckon, as long as he gets himself motivated and stops moping. Luckily I had ordered loads of fruit and veg and healthy meat etc and the tesco man brought it all after tea so he seemed pretty up beat when we were putting it all away.

I think if he acheives that he will carry on when we come back from the holiday to lose another stone. I really hope he manages it.

Sorry to write so much but I'm so pleased he's decided to go with the diet and exercise option as he is getting bigger and it makes him such a mardy bloke!

PS - his target is to do it by the same date as me, so we can do this together - I think that'll help loads.

Hi I have just had a message from Easter, who has come back from the vets with Neo, and he had his bandages removed but it looked like it has become infected, so they have bathed his paw and have now given him antibiotics but have not redressed the paw as they want to leave it open, to heal and he has lots of stitches....so they cannot leave him as otherwise he would bite at it so Easter needs to stay up with to take care of him and make sure he does not bite at him..
She just wanted to let you know
    xx

  • Had some sad news from my Dad today, my Auntie who is very close to me & has had a lot of bereavement close to her over the last few years as had to have her dog put to sleep today. She'd had Toby (Tobias) 14 years so it was like a member of the family she is absolutley distraught at the moment :(
