in Credit cards
Hi
My friend transferred his balance from another card to the marks and spencer 0% 9 months period card.
This is due to run out in march and they have now decided that they are going to charge him 3.9% from now on. Surely this cannot be right if he signed up for a nine month period
Advice please???

Are you sure it was 9 and not 6 months? It used to be 9 but has recently changed to 6. Best go back and look at T&C's they signed up to.
Don't think they can change the deal without some kind of default on the card holder part.0 -
is in VERY small print on his statement.

No DEF 9 months he is very careful about his money. Whats it all about is this legal?0 -
Does he have a copy of the credit agreement? Check it and if they insist in 6 months just ask them to send him a copy of the agreement with this figure and his signature. Full stop.0

When M&S ran this offer last May, they sent out a large number of 6 month offer credit agreements (which also omitted to include 0% on purchases) - instead of the advertised 9 months.grumbler wrote:Does he have a copy of the credit agreement?
It was widely reported on MSE at the time.
Many people contacted M&S, and were told to modify the credit agreement, to say 9 months on both purchases & BT's, before signing and returning it.
Could this be the problem here?0
