I'm not really a great credit card expert, having only really had a Goldfish account which was recently taken over by Barclaycard. Have not been terribly impressed with B'card - don't like their website and for the first time ever, managed to not pay my monthly account (don't know why, it just didn't seem to 'take').
So I've been looking around. I'm not particularly worried about the interest rate, since I tend to pay off every month. However, it would be nice to get something back. Has anybody any experience of Marks & Spencer's cc.

Hi Chesky
I have an M&S card currently on a 0% deal for 10 months, then it goes to 14.9%. When you use it you earn points and receive vouchers and coupons. You can make payments on line or go into a store and make a payment at the till. I worked for M&S and a lot of customers used to pay on their card and then pay the balance off or pay what they had just spent straight off to earn the points.Quit Day - 8th July 2009.0 -
I have a goldfish that was taken over by Barclaycard and I am not impressed either they keep trying to give my £5300 which doesn't belong to me but I bet if I took it they would soon clap me in irons want to close the card but can't until this is sorted.
Also have a M&S card have had no problems they accept payments on line (faster payments too) and I use the vouchers for Christmas presents.

Thanks - think I'll give it a go, then I can get rid of Barclaycard.0

As well as vouchers you also get offers sent regularly, these include double, triple or even 5 times points per shop or % off. Valid for online or store. Using these really does make the points total go up quickly

Hi!
I have applied for the Marks and Spencers credit card online, I did it about 2 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything from them.
Just wondered if any of you guys knew how long it normally takes or are also waiting for your card?
This is my first credit card so not sure how it all works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you0 -
It took four and a half weeks from when I filled out the application online till the time the card dropped through my letterbox.
Between 2-3 weeks later you will either get a letter saying you've been declined, or you'll get a phone call at work - they love to call you at work. If you get that phone call you should be accepted a week or so later.
I love the card, it's the only one I use now. And I love the vouchers each quarter. You're spelling is effecting me so much. Im trying not to be phased by it but your all making me loose my mind on mass!! My head is loosing it's hair. I'm going to take myself off the electoral role like I should of done ages ago and move to the Caribean. I already brought my plane ticket, all be it a refundable 1.0 -
thanks for the quick reply and info.
I hope mine comes soon!
This definately seems to be the best credit card at the moment.
thanks again0
