Best Place To Save £12,000?

Hi,

I would like to save £12,000 in the best possible place.

I have the maximum amount in ISA's.

I'm a taxpayer and don't need quick access to the money.

I'd be grateful for any advice on the best place to put the money.

You just missed out on a 5% 2 year fixed rate at Close Brothers, closed 2 days ago, other than that most 2 years fixed are now 4%, have a look at: http://www.moneyfacts.co.uk/money/savings/2/long-term-fixed-rate-bonds.aspx

It was supposed to close Friday but they withdrew today due to very high numbers of deposits.
