i agree hotpoint is pants i would never buy another 1,indesit was a good machine last time we had 1 on some of the machines at the mo theyre doing a 5yr parts and 1yr labour free.!
But to get the free parts, you have to use their engineers and pay a huge callout and labour charge.
You really need a parts and labour warranty.;)0 -
I have a Hoover wash and dry. I am not very impressed with the dryer part but the 1600 spin is good. I have had it 6 years and no problems. touch wood. though I am preety sure it cost over your budget. Might be worth looking at though.
I have just googled it and it now costs £329. It is cheaper than when iI bought it. I am sure it was over £400. The review says it is durable/long life.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

Or HOOVER HNL662 at Argos (Argos site closed at the moment but it looks like it may be sub-£230)
Edit - not so brilliant a deal - £294 link here
Another option may be to put in a bid on

Thanks for the info. I've just ordered the Zanussi ZWF16581W from Littlewoods Direct. In the end it came to £332.40 including delivery and connection, which I'm pleased with. Managed to use a 10% off code to bring it down to that price, and hopefully 8% back through quidco so not bad at all.I have the Zanussi one, very happy with it!0 -

Good choice - I got this one a couple of months ago. So far I'm very pleased with it. Huge drum - I can get loads more in and consequently do fewer washes :j . The warning beep that signals the end of the wash can be irritating, but livable with!:wave:0
