ING Account annoyance

Hi everyone,
About a month ago I signed up for an ING account via a referral to benefit from the free £25. This worked fine for me and I was setup within a matter of days.
The problem is that my girlfriend also obtained a referral from a friend and after a month she still can't access the account. Plus the cheque is showing up on her natwest as being deposited to the ING account. We have tried for a week to access the account and it basically tells us that they are in the process of setting up the account.
The other problem is that their customer support seems to be non existent and I waited on the phone for half hour earlier without a response. Sort of gave up holding on as I was at work and lunch break ended.
Does anyone know what I can do about this. Just don't know how I can get ahold of ING and get this sorted out :-(
Thanks

Your problem is probably trying to telephone at lunchtime - when everyone else is doing the same. Have a go at calling either first thing in the morning or last thing in the evening.0

PS - I think your girlfriend should do it for herself, since they might wonder why 'Linda' (or whatever) is a man. That's unless your both the same sex, in which case, apologies.0
