It include VAT. http://www.carphonewarehouse.com/commerce/servlet/gben-server-PageServer?article=MAIN.UK.INTERNET.STATIC.CPWOFFERS.TALKTALK.MAIN
(link might not work) but it is a 18 month contract and you have to pay £6.49 a month for 6 months after 12 months. And frankly Talktalk customer service / actual service is not worth it, even if they pay you I would say not a good deal , esp with so many ppl I know who still got no internet since just before Xmas..0 -
Hi Atticgirl2003,
If you come over to TalkTalk you will be in an 18 month contract. While the telephone support can be hit and miss there is online support at www.talktalkmembers.com/forusm. There is an offer on at the moment in Carphone Warehouse stores where you won't pay any plan fees for 12 months meaning you get myTalkTalk, Broadband and linerental for £10.50 per month provided you are in an LLU area. Not all prefixes are supported but TalkTalk offer free calls to 36 countries any time of the day as part of your plan and you can use international extra free of charge for discounts to many other destinations. All prices on the web site include VAT.
You are bound to see more negative than possitive on the internet - people dont tend to make the effort to post on forums etc when they have no problems.
Have a think about it and if you need any more information let me know.
Cheers

We went over to talk talk & got our letter to say we'd be switched on New Years Eve. I rolled my eyes & thought I'll believe it when I see it.
11am ish, NYE, I was surfing & lost my connection. After making sure it wasn't an internal flounce- our Tiscali broadband had kept dropping- I gritted my teeth & knuckled down to setting up the Talk Talk router.
Half an hour later, I was surfing wirelessley with a cuppa in hand.
I've not been dropped since, and everything has been as smooth as a smooth thing.
Only downside is there's no sign of the Quidco transaction.

When the "official" support only tells us half the story - even when trying to sell the service, people are bound to be cautious about what the future will hold when problems might arise and need solving by "Support".
(You don't need to go to the bother of visiting a store to get this offer - you can order via the phone on a freephone number!)0 -
Thanks Qunetin - almost forgot that bit! The number to call is 0800 049 1374 if you want to order over the phone. I've been sick and am just getting back into the swing of things.

OK. (If you aren't over the sickness should you be back at work?).
I'll fill in the other rather salient point about this offer for you.
You mislead when you say there are no plan fees to pay for 18 months.
In fact, you do have to pay from month 13 onwards. (£6.49/month). Company reps aren't supposed to come here and just mislead us by falsely advertising their products - if this was a printed ad the ASA would be interested in it!!0 -
That was a typo and I've corrected my initial post now. You are correct that the plan fees kick in from month 13. Maybe I should have had more time off??!! Sorry - didn't mean to mis lead anyone.
Cheers

I've only had to call TalkTalk Customer Services a couple of times since I joined them, and I've found them to be good - better than BT.
When I was settling my last BT bill, I faxed them payment details, but forgot to put the card security code from the back on: someone from BT phoned and:
BT: We need your PIN to make the payment.
Me: No, you mean the CVV2 code.
BT: No, we need your PIN.
etc.
I'd tried BT online and BT automated phone service to pay it, but because I'd stopped one account when going to NZ, I'd been given a new one when I returned, and I couldn't change the info online without more phone calls.
And it gets better: BT phone me up trying to sell me something, I want them to stop calling me, they want my phone number, BT account number (don't have it), postal address (why? they're phoning me), and some other stuff. I had to email their CEO to get it sorted...0
