Medical advice should only be given by an appropriately trained person and if anyone has any concerns about posts on this board or anywhere else on MSE then please use the red triangle to refer them. The Team can then make the decision as to whether to leave them or remove them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.. Please note that Ambassadors are not moderators. Any posts you spot in breach of the Forum Rules should be reported via the report button, or by emailing forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.All views are my own and not the official line of MoneySavingExpert.0

I really do think that the alcoholism, the depression, the Fibromyalgia and all such sites should be removed then.....because they are all full of medical advice.0

Then report them and let the team decide.
As a BG that is basically all I would do anyway as I am in no better position to decide what is acceptable and what is not. At best the most appropriate thing I could do is to temporarily hide the thread pending review. It is a very fine line, those that I think cross it I do refer on, but I don't see and read everything so many will go un noticed.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Surely though, to have such a stringent rule on a board that deals with health, someone should read it all.
You cant rely on other people to do the work for you.....(not you personally) ....because its not really abuse, is it?
It really does boil down to the fact that there is a big difference in medical advice and medical discussion.....and noone is bothered to read the threads to see the difference.0 -
There is already a thread running on the site feedback questions and suggestions forum with various points of view being put forward, it might be best to join the others there as it isn't really a discussion for this board.
